Very impressive wrightfan ! Do you have any tips or strategies that you've found on your journey?

Eat in moderation and exercise.

Well done! CONGRATULATIONS! Wish I could say the same for my right knee but it really is bad now and I am going to have succumb to the knife fairly soon. I knew this was coming so can't grumble. Going away to see my grandsons in Florida for Christmas - first time I have flown for 5 years. They have grown a lot in those intervening years - both in double figures and one a teenager! Can't wait to see them but concerned about coping with the flight. Will be airbourne this time next Wednesday! Probably somewhere over Canada and on the journey down the coast to the sun. Am hoping that the sun will help with the pain. Will be able to go to the pool most days so that will be good for me.

Good luck with your surgery. Are you having your knee replaced or are they just cleaning it out?

Oh I think it will be a total replacement. They do say that they could do a half knee but from the look of things when they get in there it will be a total knee. As a retired RAF veteran I have been trying to get to the veterans unit in Oswestry but NHS Wales are refusing to let me go there. I am very disappointed as I served for 37 years and in two war zones taking active part in one. When I left the service I was promised medical care at service hospitals but of course they have all been closed now. There are some centres we can go to but it is very annoying that the devolved NHS Wales refuse me access and put even more weight on their stretched services. This means I will end up paying for a replacement as hospitals are reorganising and closing around here so likely I will be waiting for over 18 months.

Thanks for all your support. I am so looking forward to getting away from this damp weather. Are we ever going to see the sun again? Will we ever have a dry day again I wonder! So depressing at the moment.

Congratulations. Mine feel good too. Fell on the ‘good’ one in October. Last Friday the chiropractor was surprised how hard she could press into the joint line without it hurting and I walked four miles yesterday. Just hope no more mishaps.

Knees, keep doing what you're. It's working.
