Hi there and welcome to the group.

Where are you in your journey? Have you been recently diagnosed, received treatment, or in treatment?

I was diagnosed with ER+ PR+ HER2- endometrial cancer 8 years ago and am in remission for over 5.5 years after two recurrences. I lead a very active life.

The more you learn about your particular cancer, the better you will understand the treatment options. I suggest heading over to sharecancersupport.org/uter... to see the wealth of information and support that is available to you. Starting with ordering the Bag It that has great information and guidance and is free to uterine cancer patients. You can sign up for a support group and leave a message for someone from the helpline to call you back.

This forum is a good place to ask a particular question or to check out some ideas or upcoming events.

Best wishes,

Corby

Thanks for the reply. I am not even sure what all of the acronyms for your cancer mean. I am newly diagnosed. Need surgery. Was told on cusp of grade1/2 adenocarcinoma, stage determined post surgery. I have had delays due to losing insurance qualification and thus switching plans, Trying to afford time off. Been applying for assistance and trying to plan the first step of surgery and recovery from that. I may try to call the help line as you recommend. Finding it difficult to find care I feel good about. Felt very dismissed by original oncologist.

Thanks. I've explored support resources extensively. Not a lot of financial stuff out there that is open and available. PAF is great for help with billing issues. They helped me resolve a surprise medical bill I should have never been charged. That was awesome.

Did you have molecular testing? Is that how you know HER2, etc info?

Yes, my doctors used Foundation One. It has been helpful to see new advances in research that target the mutations in my cancer. I know there are other companies that do the same thing. I'm sure that your doctors know.

Happy you are reaching out. This is an excellent forum to ask questions, vent, learn from others. Very supportive. I was diagnosed two years ago with Stage 1b, grade 1 carcinoma.

Hysterectomy and internal radiation was my treatment. Recurrence is a concern but try to live my life fully and one day at a time. Wishing you the best as you embark on this journey.
