I'm a five year survivor of stage 4 uterine cancer and wanted to let you know I'm here if you want to chat. I know it's scary hearing the word, "cancer," and even more so when you hear it's stage 4. However, I'm going to share with you the most helpful thing my oncologist ever told me. He said, "Your stage determines your treatment, not your outcome." There is hope, especially with the amazing advances being made in the treatment of gynecologic cancers. Please reach out and utilize the resources available to you. It will make your journey easier to manage and put you in touch with others who have walked in your shoes. God bless you!

Hi KarenThank you for that uplifting piece of guidance and wise words. The 'C' word is the worst word ever and many people attach it to pain and departure, when actually it is a time for reflection and to take stock of your life and appreciate everything you have, to move forward in life.
Continue to post, as I will too. I was diagnosed stage 3, and I am fast approaching a complete year from this diagnosis. I have found swimming to be one of the best things for my body after surgery, chemo and radiotherapy, so I would recommend to all.
Positive vibes, deep felt love and hugs across the waters to you and all other people who are reading this post.
