Hi Nefa-Tari,

I was diagnosed with stage 1A high grade serous endometrial cancer in July, 2015.

I had a total hysterectomy with bilateral removal of Fallopian tubes and ovaries, in addition to removal of multiple pelvic lymph nodes.

My physicians recommended 6 cycles of chemotherapy and 5 of vaginal brachytherapy. After treatment, I was followed with CT scans every 6 months for a year and then yearly after that for another 3 years.

Hi Kathy,

In 2013 I was diagnosed with an early stage of uterine cancer. My doctor put me on hormone therapy for treatment, a progesterone called Megestrol acetate. As follow up care my gyn oncologist did a biopsy on me every 3 months along with a taking a CA 125 blood test.

Thanks Kathy for sharing information about your diagnosis with me. I hope the information that we've both shared can be helpful to other women who share our same experience.

I was diagnosed in April 2016. When my bleeding became irregular I wrote it off as a symptom of perimenapause. The bleeding got heavier and I wound up in an ambulance due to uncontrollable hemorrhaging. I was diagnosed stage IV and after having a large tumor removed my oncologist had me do sandwich therapy (3 chemos/28 external radiation/3 more chemos) and then a hysterectomy/ oophorectomy and brachytherapy. Subsequent scans have shown no evidence of disease.
