Still Working?

Is anyone else still working? First of all I work from a non-profit. We giveaway food once a week. Last week after a text about how we are low on funding, I volunteered to drop to 20 hours including some home hours. (The 2 bosses are 100% at home) This week they have me at the center (which includes a day care) for all 20 hours! Our other to centers only have people there 6 hours a week. I’m soo upset. They know I have cancer. My family wants me to quit! I’m totally able to work but in this case it’s not safe and I really was hoping they would respect me...

Do you live in the States? I am in NY. It does not matter whether you have CANCER OR NOT, it is not safe. Read my posting about life in NY now. Although I know you wish you to help, it will not bode well for you or your family if you bring the virus home.

Now our NY Hospitals are ONLY accepting people who have the VIRUS and even then you have to have severe respiratory symptoms.

It is time for you to stop and although I am sure they are desperate for help, they need to start putting people in quarantine now.

I think your family is right. It's time to stop and time to pray.

My cancer treatment is stopped for as long as this continues.

I admire you for what you’ve done in the face of this pandemic...how would you feel if you transferred it to your family

Update: Boss 1 was mad at boss 2 for approving my 20 hours of stay at home work...but it was approved so I can relax starting next week...only have to go in 2 hours to tape YouTube lessons. But no direct contact with distributing lunches etc. 😀 so excited! They can duke it out between themselves if they want...😂🤣😂
