Just went to onc Monday after 7 months on letrazale and ibrance with monthly xgeva shots only a smuggen of improvement. Was hoping it would be a little more encouraging. But Will take what I can get for now! They just changed my xgeva shots to zometa iv now changing to a different type zometa did not agree with me. It was change because of New insurance didn't want to pay for xgeva. I am having issue with them getting blood from vains they now go into my hand . I can't have blood draws out of my left arm due to previous cancer they took all the lymph nodes . It took 4 Times to find a vain for the zometa my poor arm. I get up and move everyday try to keep busy and positive!!!! I still have pain in my back , hips, but much better then it was.. How are u doing? I go monthly to onc and biweekly blood test.

Just switched from Taxol to Faslodex & Ibrance combo. My oncologist office has multiple locations and they do clinical trials. When the new immunosuppressant therapy is available for trial with their practice my oncologist will present the information to me and I'm sure I will jump on board.

My hospital has a great cancer research dept. I was enrolled in two studies but I had side effects from the drugs so I dropped out. My second study was stopped because I started on xeloda due to my metastasis to my bones.

In my first bout with breast cancer in 2001 I was in a clinical trial for Taxotere. I wanted to be part of something that might help other women with breast cancer. I ended up helping myself because it was used on me when I was diagnosed with Stage 4 BC in 2016.

A clinical trial has never been appropriate for me at this point. But perhaps it may be in the future.
