Long anxiously awaited consultation with oncologist was conducted over the phone, the doctor was very brief and too busy to consult, he basically delivered the news and prescription plan.

Did anyone really expect the creaking NHS to do any better? It's not the fault of staff, but Simon Stevens, Willey etc. didn't have any plans in place, and heaven knows when I am going to get my canceled appointments.

I just had a double mastectomy on Tuesday (3/17) and was kept in the Recovery area in hospital vs. sent to a room, no visitors at all in hospital, staff all wore masks and gloves. Intense cleaning and wiping of all surfaces. Discharged the next day. Concerned about drains, spoke with doctor over speaker phone, who walked me through what I saw to assure me all was ok. Have face to face next week for possible draon removal. Staying home and recovery so far ok.

Glad they were able to do a call to go over what you are seeing. Stay safe and good luck with recovery and your appointment next week.

I had a bone scan to see if the anastrazole is having effects on my bones but I cancelled since I had a stuffy nose and did not want to expose myself to germs.

I'm not sure at this time. I have yearly oncology visit coming up in 2 weeks. I'm assuming it will be rescheduled. I don't feel sick but don't want to chance being a carrier and infect someone that might be there for treatment. God bless us all.

My IV chemotherapy went on as scheduled today, but they screened outside for symptoms and took both my husband's and my temp before being let in. All chairs moved away and a very low patient population. Quietest the infusion rooms have been ever.

Mine is of minor importance compared to most. Had appointment with plastic surgeon just to get all information on reconstruction. The surgeon is two hours away in Canberra (capital of Australia) but because there have been cases of Caronavirus in Canberra I cancelled. I'm very unsure whether to have reconstruction so am not in a hurry but would've liked to get the information.

My reconstructive surgery that was scheduled for May 6 is now postponed indefinitely.
