I haven't been involved in any clinical trials because I have Invasive Lobular Carcinoma and there really haven't been any clinical trials available for us. (Approximately 10% of diagnosed breast cancer is ILC.) There is a clinical trial recruiting now -- I would have participated if I could have.

There was no need to participate, in my case, but it the need presented itself, I would be open to it.

on ACP169 = Acalabrutinib, 2x100mg daily since may 2015. In the beginning headache in the morning, gone after a strong coffee, and diarrhea, treated with "Perenterol"® (=sacharomyces cerevesi germs). feeling good. First month granolucytes went down, and WBC to 20k from 130k. Now no full remission, but free of any side effects. WBC around 13k, Lymphos around 50% including CLL cells. Happy that I did not have to take any Chemo. Must stay on drug until I run out of remission, Hope someone will cover the Xpense after 3 years when trial is over.

At the time I did not know about them. ...and didn't learn much until my treatment was through.

I've never had cancer. I am BRCA 1 positive and had a preventative mastectomy.

I've never been offered one. But I don't believe I would be a candidate for one as I have DCIS

I was in a clinical trial for a reduced radiation period. It was a great experience. It has been a decade now and the trial was successful , now a shorter radiation period is the norm.
