having lobectomy any day now. Tumour Stage 1, 2cm. Found on scan after bad fall. Nervous to say the least, anyone here had lobectomy? Am in NZ, care since finding tumour 8 January has been amazing. To say I’m glad I fell is an understatement! PETscan shows this tumour is only intruder 🙏🏻

Hello,

Welcome to our group. I will keep you in my prayers and sending love, light, and healing your way. I was diagnosed with stage IV nsclc in 6/2020 and had immunotherapy and radiation and doing extremely well. No evidence of disease today. Know that lung cancer is survivable. Cancer may be a piece of us but not all of us. Follow your passions. Wishing you the best of luck💕🙏

So glad to hear the cancer was found early and that you have such great care in NZ. That means so much! You are in good company as many people have a lobectomy when cancer is found early and is contained in one area. have you heard of Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation in the UK? They have a great book on lung cancer surgery. Here is a link to their site. roycastle.org/about-lung-ca...

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page you can download the book for free.

Please let us know how your surgery goes. We will be thinking of you and wish you the very best. :)

thank you Amy. Strange you mention Roy Castle as I lived in Gerard’s Cross before moving to NZ. And thank you for the link, I will certainly read the book. Still waiting for op.

That's good news to have it scheduled. It sounds like you're in very good hands and things are moving forward just as they should. Sending you positive thoughts and well wishes!
