Do you ever wonder why ? Do others on here have family members that have cancer?

It seems weird that I was diagnosed and then my baby sister was diagnosed and now my dad. We all have had extremely different tumors but my dad's is also a form of lung cancer. It just makes you think. Is it radon ? Is there something in our well water? Or is it just the luck of the draw?

My dad and I actually share an oncologist and they think it's cute to book us on the same day (eye roll) .

I think the answer to your question is yes to both! My Mom had breast cancer, my paternal grandfather had multiple forms of cancer so it seems to be there is some sort of genetic link. I also have been an observer and documenter of the PFAS crisis. There are cancers that have been directly related to PFAS yet, since we have all been exposed, there is no widespread outbreak. That's why "finding a cure for cancer" seems like an ill-informed thing to say. Cancer has so many forms and so many causes it seems like finding a cure would be like grabbing Jell-O,

There has to be something in both. My dad and his brother both died from sclc, two of their sisters from leukemia and one sister from bone cancer. The remaining 4 siblings all developed Alzheimer’s. At a consult with the geneticist I was told my lung cancer was not genetic. I don’t think we have all the answers yet.
