Small Cell Lung Cancer, many who suffer from the disease describe the diagnosis, treatment and recovery process as a "Journey". Should it really be called a "battle"?

Very interesting question - Sometimes I wonder if the answer depends on what day it is. What's your perspective?

I call it my ADVENTURE! I guess it's similar to journey. I never liked battle-I guess I've been reading that word in every cancer death obituary for years-it just depresses me. I try to be as positive as I can be, although there are days I am fighting a battle! ADVENTURE, to me, means I'm going to get to the other side. It's just a series of adventures to get through, with some real-life ADVENTUTRES in between.
