Hi.
My partner had a routine ECG a couple of months ago. He had a QT >600. His GP referred him to the hospital, but before the appointment he suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. I was able to resuscitate him and after many tests he has had a S-ICD implanted. His genetic test will take some months so we don't know if the long QT is genetic or drug induced, as he has been on hypertensive drugs for a long time. It has been a stressful time but with the S-ICD fitted I feel reassured that he has his own paramedic with him all the time.
