I'm 36 weeks and pregnant with my first. The last 4 days have seen me have the most intense pressure in my groin. Not felt this up until this point. My baby's head had been near my pelvis for 4 weeks-does this pressure mean the baby has just moved further down?
Any help would be appreciated!

Have u spoken to ur midwife? No harm in getting checked out is been 5 years since my last one forgotten all them sort of feelings! !! Sorry can't be of much help xx
It could be a few things, e.g. The baby's head has moved down and it's causing pressure on your bladder, or pelvic pain or spd ( the latter are very similar but can cause difficulties in walking), if its causing you lots of discomfort and not eased by a hot bath then see your midwife. If in doubt about anything talk to your midwife.
Hiya smile123, All sounds like good movement in the south direction. I had my first baby at 36+5 so it was a bit of a shock to be honest but had everything ready like hospital bag etc. I had a show a week before I had him, you may or may not have one but just watch out for it. It is just like a pinky discharge. How exciting, take care and get as much rest as you can
Thanks everyone. Not hAving pain at all so doubt it's SPD but will have to keep an eye to see if he/she is wanting to make an appearance earlier than expected!
Perhaps your baby's head has just properly engaged! In the later stages of my first pregnancy I felt a very heavy feeling down there almost like I could feel her head and it meant I struggled to walk ... Or at least walk without waddling!! I would definitely check with your midwife tho just to make sure! Good luck!!
