You can take a home test, which are highly accurate once your periods are due / late.
However, you may need to get your GP to refer you to get your first scans and midwife appointments. Some NHS Trusts work differently and you can contact a midwife directly, but if I were you I'd head to the GP.
Your GP will probably confirm the pregnancy by testing a urine sample anyway. But your GP may also give you advice on immediate steps you can take if you are pregnant - such as recommend that you start taking folic acid. The NHS and NCT websites both have great information on do's and don'ts during pregnancy.
