Whenever you like, but legally, you need to tell your employer that you're pregnant at least 15 weeks before your due date; this is known as your 'notification week'.You might want to tell them earlier so they can do a risk assessment for you, if there's anything in your job that needs to be changed.

It depends a bit on what you do for work. If your work inherently involves something risky to a pregnancy (eg physical, chemical, radiation, infectious etc), you need to tell them ASAP so they can risk assess, and with COVID levels right now it might be worth also notifying them soon in case they need to make adjustments for you. My work knew from my positive test as I went through IVF but I'd have told them immediately anyway as my job involves exposure to infectious agents. xx

It’s really up to you :) I told my work at 8 weeks because I was very sick and found it stressful having to make up excuses. I did have a boss I really trusted and knew it wouldn’t go any further than them. I then told my colleagues at around 14 weeks :)
