Temperature with teething?

Anyone any advice my we boy is 13 months and cutting back teeth he was fine until yesterday then just wasn’t himself at all did want to leave my arms he just wanted to sleep then I gave him some ibuprofen and he was back to himself a little bit also is hot to touch I’m wondering does a temperature come with teething? It never has before.(I have done a covid test and it’s negative)

The standard medical advice and opinion is that there is no real link between teething and getting a temperature etc and they say the same type of thing for babies who get a nappy rash but anyone I’ve ever known has said babies do get a temperature when teething and my little boy did too, every time he was cutting his temp was raised so keep up with a ibuprofen/paracetamol whichever is preferred and see how they go, it’s quite normal🥰

We have a temperature, cough and cold with every tooth that gets cut. Back ones at 12 months were particularly gruelling with diarrhoea and terrible nappy rash too.
