Hi I'm a first time mummy to a beautiful baby girl born August 2020. Think we're just starting out on the teething journey.

Hello my baby girl was also born in August. Have you got any teethers?

I have yes but at the moment she just chews fingers hers or mummy and daddys his taste especially good. Will keep trying the teething ring

Our baby is also chewing her fingers/hands a lot! We have some teethers designed for younger babies which she can hold and chews for a bit but seems to prefer her hands! Have you tried any gels or powders? I haven't yet

We have a few things she can chew and I bought a teething ring but she prefers her hand and fingers at the moment. Haven't tried any gels or powders yet. Yesterday was the first day she was in real pain from her guns. Calpol worked wonders being Sunday. Will see how today goes she seems a lot better for now. Looking into Amber anklets which are meant to help.

I was wondering whether to try calpol. Glad it helped your little one. Can you see/feel any teeth? I'm not sure about amber. I'll try to read up about it.

Her gums look red at the bottom and feel a little bumpy. But can't see any teeth or feel them yet

Oh! The joys of teething! I'm not at all a 'lucky heather' kind of person but I do swear by amber bracelets. My sister used one for her two and barely any teething trouble. I used one for my first two and will again for the third (on the way). Between two children, one full set and one with 8 teeth so far, I've had barely any trouble. Neither had the excessive dribbling, whinging, trouble sleeping etc. The worst we've had is rosy cheeks and a bit of chewing on their sleeves. It's possible that we are just really really lucky, but the only thing we do different to my other mommy friends is the amber bracelet. For safety, make sure you get one that is tied between each bead in case of it breaking and becoming a choking hazard and make sure you put it on the ankle and under clothing where baby wont mess with it. We have always ordered online from 'amber pumpkin'.

Thank you we've got excessive dribbling and chewing hands constantly. She was crying in pain yesterday but seems happier in herself today
