Hi everyone, I’ve registered to north Middlesex hospital but so far it has been really bad so I’m thinking of whether I should change to whipps cross or stay at my current hospital.
Does anyone have any recent experiences at whipps cross?

Just commenting here for wider advice! I’m not from the area but I was in the same predicament choosing between hospitals and here’s my advice: if you already feel uncomfortable with your choice of hospital, that could be your subconscious telling you that something doesn’t feel right for you. A lot of NHS trusts have reviews and feedback for their maternity units and it’s maybe worth taking a look at your second choice and see the reviews☺️ I changed from the hospital I was registered at for a new one because I just didn’t like the environment and I’d already heard some not so good reviews (more bad than good) and I got to experience a scan at both hospitals which then ultimately made the decision for me to switch, this was pre Covid though so different rules! I would say if you don’t feel comfortable and the treatment so far hasn’t been good, that is going to be in the back of your mind throughout☺️
If you're already feeling uncomfortable, I don't think there's any harm switching hospitals. If they refuse say that you'll just turn up there when you're in labour because they cannot refuse you.I switched hospitals as I'd moved house and it was between a 15 min journey or 25/30 min journey. I'd looked up the online scores and it all was fine but I regret not having stayed at my original hospital. Trust your gut. X
STAY at North Mid.If your having a bad experience so far talk to the PALS, Whipps cross is so bad.
I have never given birth there but have family members and friends who have and none of them have good experiences, I have even witnessed how bad it is myself as I was a birth partner for one.
I gave birth in North Mid in 2019 and my experience was great especially as I had previously had 6 losses and none of the other hospital or my GP had picked up on it to advise me that I needed to be referred to a recurrent miscarriage clinic, but North Mid did at the first miscarriage I had there.
I hope things improve for you x
Sorry to jump on and give conflicting advice but I had my baba at whoops cross and I thought they were amazing. I suppose everyone will have negative or positive reviews but my experience was brilliant and I would definitely recommend them 😘
