Hello there, I asked for help last week regarding my 4 month old who wasn’t sleeping through the night wanting to be fed and was screaming between 8 and 10 pm. Fortunately the screaming seems to have stopped for now hopefully. However, we have noticed his weight gain slow over the last few weeks and this week he lost 3.5oz. I have been trying to up his milk during the day but he doesn’t always want it. Should I contact a health visitor or wait to see if things change over the next week with offering more feeds? He is still wanting to be fed at hourly intervals through the night.
TIA

I'd contact your HV. He should be gaining weight fairly steadily and if that's changing it should be looked into and hopefully suggest some strategies to help. Hope he's soon fattening up nicely again xxx
sounds like something is going on, I.e. he's ill. I'd speak to your gp rather than health visitor as quite a sudden drop. Weight gain will slowdown the older they get but they shouldn't really drop Huge amounts Does he feed at night? Sounds like he's hungry at night if wanting hourly feeds.
Yes think he is . I am offering feeds as often as I can during the day. Sometimes he will take them sometimes not. Sometimes he will have a full 10 mins. Sometimes a minute max. Thank you for your advice c
