18month old not eating much help.

My 18 month old isn't eating very much, for the past week or so she's barely eating anything even unhealthy snacks she's not fussed by or strawberries which she loves. I try and do finger food but she'll have a couple of bites and won't bother with the rest. It started with dinner she'll just close her eyes and say no when we try to encourage her to eat. The only thing she finishes is her morning bottle. I leave food out hoping she'll just snack through the day. She also seems to stuff so much in her mouth that she chokes and she does that a lot Is this just a phase? She's happy and fine and very cheeky and drinks water absolutely fine so I don't know why the kids of appetite. Thank you for any advice. 🙂

Is she unwell, or has a snotty nose? If she's completely well she might just be testing boundaries etc. Don't make a fuss about it and it's likely to.have a worse effect, I would just leave her to it and see what happens. Make sure she gets out and about to build and appetite.

My little one has always gone off her food if she is getting a cold but also if she has just had growth spurt. The nursery always just said when she went off her food she is just not growing right now and we didnt worry. No one made a fuss and normally within a week she was back to eating normally again.

Mine goes through stages of eating then not. They will eat if they are hungry. Sometimes there’s a good reason sometimes there doesn’t seem to be. It’s frustrating as you then worry, but usually they are fine.

She could be teething? Mines 2yrs and this is our main issue atm. She’s got 4 teeth that have come through since her birthday and the 4 molars to go stillS
