I had a 16 week growth appointment because I am quite petite and doctor wants to keep an eye on the baby’s growth. The doctor said everything is fine, but he mentioned the baby is a little small he didn’t seem that concerned though. The legs (femur length) were on the 5th percentile however he said not to even worry about this.
I’m just wondering if I do actually need to be concerned or if it’s early days and the baby will have some growth spurts?
The rest of the body was showing as on the 50th percentile (average) while the femur length at 5% so I’m just stressed something might be wrong??
Let me know if anyone’s had any similar experiences or you can offer any advice. Thank you! Xxx

Hi Zahm96 I'm in the same position as you. I just had a 22 week scan as my 20 week scan showed our little lady measuring a bit small. Her femur is also in the 5th percentile, abdomen in 50th and head, etc about 25th. The sonographer didn't seem too worried and said we will probably just have more scans throughout the pregnancy to monitor but as long as they are growing at the same rate it's ok. Every baby grows at different rates and just remember average is an average - 50% of babies will be lower than that! Try not to worry too much, I know that's easier said than done as I am still worrying as well, but we will be ok and our babies will be just fine!
What a lovely and positive reply! Thank you so much, I really appreciate your kind and reassuring words. I feel so impatient waiting for my 20 week scan. It’s worrying but you’re right we can’t all be on the average. Some of us have to be below and that’s still fine. Praying everything goes well for you and us all xx
Wishing you the best of luck and remember even if baby is still small at your scan - they all grow at different rates Everything will be perfect once they're in your arms!
