My 10week old son won’t nap during the day. I’m having trouble getting him to nap. I feel so overwhelmed because I have a 22 month old son that also needs me. I’m so desperate. Sometimes he will good without napping he just look super tired I know he has not nap either way. Any tips advice.???

Sorry to hear that you are struggling with naps, I’ve been there myself and I ended up getting help from a sleep consultant. The information that she gave me said that a baby who is between 2 and 3 months old will be tired after being awake for around an hour and fifteen minutes, up to a maximum of an hour and a half. So she told me to look for signs of tiredness after this length of time, and then put your baby down to nap as soon as possible after you see them. Even if you don’t see signs of tiredness, still put them down by the maximum awake time (an hour and a half) as you may have missed the signs and they will definitely be tired by then. Hope that helps!

My little one didn't nap either. I was exhausted. I bought a blackout curtain from John Lewis. It makes the room a lot darker. Also, don't talk to them, just carry them in your arms, have a noise machine or something in the background that creates a 'white noise'. My little one would just start to go quiet and I'd look in the mirror to see that his eyes would get heavy and he'd slowly go off. It does get easier. My little one is 10 months now but when he was younger I was absolutely exhausted and so worried that maybe he should be learning more etc etc. He would sleep in the pram if being pushed. Get into a routine so they know it's nap time as well. Best wishes xx

Can you try putting baby in a sling so he is still with you but you can interact with your other baby to? My little one used to be fairly content in her sling and then would fall asleep as I did the housework or went for a walk.
