I’ve just used a hot tub for about 2 minutes and a steam room for maybe 3 minutes- my friend has said this is really stupid and dangerous...?! Has anyone else done this? Have I put my baby at risk??

Hot tub or steam room 4 weeks pregnant
It's just because your temperature is already raised during pregnancy and developing embryos don't like to be too warm, just don't go in again and I'm sure everything will be fine if it was only a few minutes. Try not to worry x

You & baby will be fine. Your more at risk of fainting or dehydration but that's about it x
They raise your core temperature which isn’t good for your baby but as you weren’t in there long it’s probably fine so try not to worry too much xx
I didn't find out I was pregnant till week 9 (I had some bleeding at week 4/5 and thought it was my period). Around week 6/7 we had a lovely spa weekend booked and I used the hot tub and sauna. I couldn't stay in it for long lasted about 5 minutes at a time cos I felt so uncomfortably hot (for some strange reason) and needed to cool down with cold showers after use. When I found out I was pregnant after I was seriously worried too but everything was fine. Like others have said, don't do it again, I think even taking baths it's supposed to be below a certain temperature and tbh the further along you get the hotter you will feel you'll want to take cold baths lol
You could ask your midwife for advice on what is safe, I never did just avoided it after I found out
I would probably stay clear of those, especially the steam room. Your body temperature is elevated during pregnancy and going into a steam could raise your risk of passing out. I'm almost 20 weeks pregnant and after I work out in the gym I have to have a tepid shower and literally have to sit down and cool off for a while after showering with the fan on me. I've also noticed that when I eat hot food I break out in sweats. Pregnancy does alot of strange things to your body.
