Wanna be a mother
Hey have you been to the doctors so they can rule somethings out? Xx
We tried for 5 years like you also, partner saw doctor as I thought it would be easier for him to do a sperm check, doctor didn’t do this though as my partner already has 2 children with ex wife, so doctor told him to tell me to come in for blood tests, I am terrified of needles so I just ignored it. After about 5.5 years fell pregnant but had a miscarriage, but only 3 months after fell with my daughter (who’s now 21 months). I would recommend clear blue ovulation tests as after miscarriage I wanted a baby even more, with the first month of using tests I fell pregnant. We were focusing on days 12-15 (as this is when I thought I was ovulating) but according to tests I ovulated on day 19. Which may be why we didn’t have much joy for so long!
We’re now ready to try for another and have brought the tests again.
Would recommend a doctors trip for some bloods to be taken. I should also mention I am a 28 year old. Hope my experience helps, never give up hope! Rebecca
Have you had any tests carried out?
They usually start in this order:
*Blood tests (day 1-3 and again on day 21 to check your ovulating)
*Sperm sample
*Ultrasound on your ovaries and discussion with fertility dr at your local hospital
*They might prescribe clomid to force you into ovulation
*Then - depending on whether you have any symptoms of endometriosis they may recommend a laparoscopy.
*Finally it’s IVF referral.
This was my experience although, I didn’t get any clomid as I was ovulating xx
You may also get an x-ray to check that your tubes are clear. This was a standard test at our clinic and is carried out with staff from both x-ray and assisted conception unit.
Also just to be aware - IF and this is a BIG IF - if you do get referred to your assisted conception unit, your weight is important and you have to have a BMI of under 30 to go on the NHS waiting list. Our clinic were very strict with this and made it clear that if I was over at the start of your treatment, it would be stopped immediately.

I been trying for 2years it must be ovulation
5 years is a very long time to be trying. The problems could be several but the only way to know is for you and your partner to go see your doctor to start investigations and get referred.
I second the Clearblue Ovulation Kit - go for the purple one that also shows you when ovulation is about to happen (blinking Smiley) before you then get the permanent smiley.
Sperm can live up to 5 days - so have sex leading up to ovulation (every other day) and on day of ovulation.
If this doesn’t work - then definitely start doing doctor checks.
Good luck to you 🍀
Have you had tests?
You and your partner should go to the fertility clinic at your local hospital they can check your partners semen levels and if you are ovulating, check your womb, make sure there's no blockage in your fallopian tubes etc.
Once you've had all the tests if there does seem to be a problem they can advise you on steps to relieve the problem or work around it.
If however the is none then I know this is easier said than done but try not to get pregnant. Just have sex and fun with it without the thought that your trying to concieve.
This always works for me, when I'm trying nothing happens but the moment I take my mind off of it and plan to do something else with my life, I straight fall pregnant.
Sometimes when the mind is trying too hard it doesn't let the body to what it is supposed to do naturally.
