early labour pains????

sorry to post again people but im in a lot of pain and not sure if it Branxton hicks or its early labour pains..... so im 38 weeks + 5 days and my boy is engaged already.... I woke up at half 12 and im in a lot of pain.... it feels like period pains every now and then I would get them in my back.... ive not had a show or nothing but then I didnt with my first....I know they say not every pregnancy is the same..... im just looking for advice and info on what these pains could be
