Tailbone pain

After a fall off a horse two years ago and doing something to my coccyx which resulted with me screaming on the floor for which felt like a hour...alone. I left it for a few weeks, without medical advice, and it got better by itself. During when this happened, to now, every now and then I get pain exactly where I hurt it. Sometimes the pain is dull and achy, other times It's been hard to sit down but nothing toooo serious! The past few days it has been horrendous, getting worse and worse by the day. Probally wasn't helped by the fact I did high jump today and landed funny on one run. Tonight however I've been in tears due to the pain..... anything I can do to calm it down? I don't feel like in need to go to the doctors because it usually goes away without treatment; but I have a high jump competition tomorrow, and need to take part. Any remedies I can do from home to heal the pain over night??

Thank you

Don't mean to be rude but this is a pregnancy and child forum.

you should consider that the first time you fell you might have broken something. It eased off with time because our bodies does great job by healing us.. Unfortunately since you did not seek advice from doctors the first time around there is a possibility that it did not hear properly. So now is the time to go to hospital and get an xray. Only doctor can give you advice about pain management and necessary treatment.
