This website is for pregnancy / baby related questions I suggest you go and see your doctor.
You do realise this is a pregnancy related site dont you?
I think you'll find that gallstones is actually quite common during/after pregnancy, so this post may be a very valid question. I started getting severe pain my my chest, back and left arm as well as shortness of breath about 1 week after my daughter was born. It wasn't diagnosed for a few months, but during that time I took co codamol for the pain and also tried to keep to a very low fat diet. Generally I tried to ensure anything I ate was less than 5% fat. I was very misreable and weak with a very new baby and was regularly ending up in A&E with such awful pain. Eventually I was admitted into hospital with pancreatitis and they found I had gallstones. About a month later I was in surgery having my gallbladder removed. It very much depends on how serious your condition is but I found that what I ate had the biggest impact on the pain. If you cannot cope then you need to see your doctor as I know how horrible this can be. I also did a lot of research on the internet into what I could eat as being told to avoid curries and fizzy drinks didn't really help me much! Hope you start feeling better soon!
