I had my implant removed on 20th Jan and had a period straight away but since then.....nothing. This week I have been having lots of period pain and weird feelings in my belly but no bleeding at all. I have needed to pee literally every hour, been feeling hot and cold, had some nausea, felt faint and just generally feeling like something has changed. I did a test on Monday and then one this morning both negative. Is my body playing mean tricks or could I be in early pregnancy?
I thought my body would go back to normal after the implant came out but I'm just not sure now.

Could be pregnant or your body settling into not having the implant. Take a test. If negative wait another week then if testing still negative maybe see your gp!
Hi Laur0208,
It may be worth keeping an eye on your body as if your period does not return there could be a possibility of pregnancy, but i had the implant removed in late of 2012 and although my periods also started straight away after removal it took about 5 to 6 months for my body to completely get back to normal and as a result i fell pregnant with my 2nd child roughly after those initial couple of months so it can definitely take some time.
i have been on the implant for 2years and i just got it removed on 17th July 2012 and as off today 4TH August i have no sign of a period but all the signs of pregnancy eg... running to the toilet lots, sense of smell, back pains, cramps, constantly tired... is my imagination running away with me or could i be pregnant, done 5tests all neg. is this normal x
i just saw this which is a post from 2 years ago, may be helpful to you. i think the hormones and rebalancing is enough to make your body go a bit mad for a little while
To me this sounds like a water infection. You need to see a gp for antibiotics. It sometimes takes up to 6 months for your periods to return to normal after you stop any type of birth control that contains hormones. Get him to do a pregnancy test before taking he antibiotics just to be sure though. But I think it sounds like a water infection
