Ok I know it sounds a long way off but its just hit me, on Christmas Day I'll be 36 weeks pregnant, I could therefore give birth before Xmas which means my baby's first Xmas will be this one!! But can all ladies who have had a baby at this time if year or are currently 16 - 21weeks pregnant share with me what are you going to / have done for Xmas in this situation.

I feel I'll need to get presents and wrap then incase my baby comes before Xmas but then if s/he doesn't come I have to unwrap them all when I do get out of hosp.

I was just thinking about it and now its stressing me what to do?!?

(Sorry to bring up Xmas so early but its only 19 weeks tomz)

I'm currently 16weeks pregnant and due 29 Jan. Xmas this year is just going to be about getting plenty of rest and staying close to home. we normally travel out to visit family every year but ive warned everyone that it'll be hard to travel the long distances this year. We are limiting gift giving to just the kiddies in the family and maybe the odd bottle of vino or biscuits for the adults to save as much money as possible for little one making an appearance. I must admit, I havent thought baby could come at Xmas as I was 4 weeks early myself when born, but it does put a spin on things.

If baby does come at xmas, itll not even realise about presents and will be more concerned with having food, warmth and cuddles. Dont stress out too much and take it as it comes. Aslong as u have ur essentials in by xmas, the gifts can come later, maybe even in the jan sales :P xx

I was due the 14th, brought a babies first Christmas me to you set (book and bear) and didnt "bother" with anything else.. You get given tons of stuff anyway, and yes pictures are cute but little one won't be fussed! My daughter came 17 days late and got the set the year after but I personally thought that that's all that matters!

I'm due on 18th January. Not planning to get any presents for the baby for this year, but am planning to ask family to buy me baby stuff for my presents. Even if the baby comes early, he or she will be so tiny and not really notice Christmas. Don't fancy travelling too far though, so it'll be a quiet one with me and my husband.

I'm due in 8 weeks and won't be buying lil man anything this year, there's no point as he won't know what's going on and as long as he's warm with a full belly and clean nappy I'm sure that's all he will care about :) and will defo not be going to visit family if they want us they know where we will be all snuggled at home xxx

Thanks for all for your replies. Seems to be a general trend of dont worry its even Xmas they won't lol. I suppose that clears that up. I hope s/he is born after Xmas, I just got a nice little picture of our first Xmas, but I suppose even if s/he is born befor next yr will be the first Christmas really. X
