It depends what you mean by week 1. Do you mean you missed your period a week ago? A lot of the tests can be used as soon as you've missed a period - check the back of the packs and they should say. They get more accurate as time goes on, so an early "not pregnant" result might just mean you've taken the test too early.

If you mean 1 week after a missed period then no it isn't to early. A clear blue test can detect the pregnancy hormone up to 4 days before your period is due. Test first thing in morning. if it is negative then test in a few more days time in the morning.

I got faint positive 11 days befor my period was due, they got darker leading up to my period. Everyones dif but ive heard its best to wait until your missed period, by then the HcG should show up in your wee :)

I did a pregnancy test 3 days before my period was due (10 days after intercourse) and I got feint positive, try it, but don't be surprised if you get a negative some tests aren't as sensitive as others
