Went to doctors yesterday and doctor didn't seem convinced and is not referring me to midwife really gutted feeling low now can't really take much more:(((((

Oh Hun why have you had a blood test to confirm the pregnancy. What did doctor say? X

No no blood tests and when they scanned me at 6 weeks they couldn't see nuffin apart from sac but test was positive before I had scan but went doctors yday and they ain't even referring me to midwife xx

Can you not ring back and ask to see another doctor?? It took me 3 times of going back and too to the doctors to actually get one to even take bloods off me. If the 1st one would have done it I would have been saved a load of hassle from the offset.

Well I ergot another scan on 7 th June so might see what append there 1 st x

You can self refer to a midwife - it doesn't need to come from a GP. Call your local antenatal clinic in the morning and they will take your details

Not seeing a foetus at a 6 week scan is normal, as it is too early in its development. Seeing a sac is good news. It is very weird to not be referred for antenatal appointments to a midwife but as Dr Fluffly mentioned, you can do self-referral. Look up the website of your local hospital and particularly their antenatal services page. There you should find a telephone number or a link to do the self referral online.

I've got another scan on the 7th of June so will see how that goes 1 st xxxx

Wishing you the best for the 7th June I hope you get to see a little bubba. I didn't see anything but a sac at 5.4 weeks I just felt positive that I'm right and I was scanned at 10 weeks and there was a little baby. All the best x
