Dating confusion????

I had a dating scan today and was told I'm 7 weeks and 3 days. Do they mean it's 7weeks 3 days dated as of today??? It's confusing the hell out of me I've been given a due date of 27/12/13.

Yes ur 7 weeks and 3 days today but it may change again when u have ur 12 week scan! When I had a 6 week scan they changed my date by one day behind but on the 12 week one forwarded it by 4 days. .. confusing eh just go by ur dates todayand wait for ur 12 week scan wonder what it will be?

I am sorry but what is a dating scan and why did you have it so early? I only ahve an apointment at 10 weeks and a scan I dont even know

The reason is because I had a bad car accident in march and my body was knackered to say the least so my dates were all over the place and the doctor worried I was further on than I should be so that's the reason for the early scan.

Ah congratulations. I had an early scan at 7 weeks and I didn't have a LMP to go by. At my 12 week scan I was put forward 6 days. Just go off those dates until you have your propers dating scan at 12 weeks they may bring you forward.
