โWho am I?โ is one of the questions that we go on asking ourselves. Is it based on our ancestry, our career, our well-being or our social circle? What questions would you ask to get the most information about who a person truly is?โค๏ธ

Good morning Gb2 โ๏ธ ๐. How are you today? You bring great points as our careers, our circles can change during our course of life. Getting to know others likes and dislikes is very fresh ideas ๐ Correct me if I am wrong: Why do you think ancestry limits to farmers? Is there a particular field?
Thank you for another post that challenges what we know. It may be a difficult question but those are the most worthwhile. Discovering our true self will help bring peace to our beingโค๐ค
Youโre welcomed ๐ค๐. Yes it is one of the most difficult question as we go on finding ourselves through out our life journey. It is very refreshing to learn something new about ourselves everyday.โค๏ธ But back to my other question, what would you ask to get to know another person? ๐
I'd ask them what gives their lives meaning๐คจ
We are touching on life purpose subject now. How they define their life purposes will open up a whole can of worms to oneโs ego. ๐
You bring up 2 points here.
1. Generations pass down their tradition, their line of work.
2. Your local state, your city, your area will lead you to the type of work you have.
Ancestry will be based on these two criteria?
Hi Jerry, that is very fresh and friendly approach to get to know a person. It is one of many great social skills as we show our interest in the most gentle way. It makes other feel comfortable and willing to open up their world to us and vice versa. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us. ๐๐
What is your identity? . What are you passionate about? what do you like to be when you grow up
I'd like to know what someone's true interests/intentions are. I don't mean hobbies. I mean are they a narcissist? In my own personal experience people are generally but not always in one of two camps.
They are either out to help THEMSELVES in life by using others or they are out to help, empathise and support OTHERS by being kind and empathetic.
Just my view.
Thatโs great so you just tight everything back to your original reply as ancestry does not determine who you are. ๐๐
And it's important to remember that people who look out for themselves only such as narcissists, psychopaths and sociopaths are absolutely brilliant wordsmiths and are highly skilled in mirroring, love-bombing and manipulation. Not many people are aware that 1 in 4 people are psychopaths or at least score very highly on the Hares Psychopathy Scale.
For that reason if I asked them a question about who they were I wouldn't necessarily take their word for it because in my experience actions speak far louder than words to me.
You reminded me a dish from the countryside, I think stuffed peanut fried caterpillar ๐ I never got a hold of that dish but I saw people did enjoy them very much.๐
I traveled to Hongkong and I think thatโs one of their popular delicacy dish. What is your memorable food experience you have during traveling? ๐
Good question Koko! I'd probably ask them how do you spend your free time? Or what kind of thoughts go through your mind throughout the day? I feel like the alone time and internal thoughts shed light on who a person truly is unencumbered
Thank you Kainan. ๐ Silence is when we can reach to highest of our awareness when you can operate on your conscious mind which is true to your existence. ( love your take on thisโค๏ธ) Hobbies will show your creativity and great find mutual interests and activities to share. Outstanding insight you have. ๐๐ค
What things do you like doing most ie. what are your hobbies.
I love to talk about how kind and caring my mum was, she volunteered for charities. I know I've gone off track here but I have such find memories of my mum, also my loving dad.

Eww ๐
Awesome. I'd like to have some Roman chicken mcnuggets
that's ew
Whatโs the difference? ๐
Gb2 has been having good jokes lately ๐๐. I think it has to do with Italian agriculture, flavor and size portion.
Oh that is for sure with spaghetti and pizza and I think they have great cheese. Have you been to New York? I tried pizza in Soho and it was fantastic ๐
Yes you can visit Time Square, Niagara Fall, Liberty statue (have to book in advance)... but I still love California more with better weather. ๐๐
INR - after reading several replies regarding this; i'm feeling compelled to chime in....
it's not that everything tastes like chicken....
almost all meat tastes like meat!!!! if you don't season meat - with few exceptions - all meat tastes the same. you can taste a heme-ish flavor; and you get umami from the fat.
the only exceptions i'm aware of - are almost all in the fish category.
lamb, and possibly deer - have flavors that can identify the meat.
when i went vegan many moons ago - this is the main reason i never missed meat. fish is the only meat i've ever really craved. and on a few occasions i will have certain fish... i consider myself a rare-pesca-otherwise-vegan!
.
the only reason most meat tastes like something - is because certain meats are traditionally seasoned in certain ways. when you 'like' the taste of meat - it's mostly the seasoning you're enjoying!!
Hi Rob thank you for your expertise in meat department.๐ I wanna point out one more detail how about textures? Different meat has its own texture and sometime people prefer certain kind. ๐คฃ๐๐
texture does play a role - but in truth - most meat has a very similar texture... certainly there are some differences... but those are usually small; and don't generally contribute to the flavor profile...
Ehhh๐ okay Rob, you start digging a hole here. ๐ You should define what is meat?๐ค
โMeat is made up of long cells called fibers, and each individual muscle fiber is wrapped in a sheath made of collagen. The individual fibers are in turn grouped together in bundles, with each bundle also wrapped in a collagen sheath. While the individual muscle cells (fibers) are too small to see, it's these bundles we distinguish as the grain of the meat.โ
For instance beef tendon is a very popular dish in Asia and the texture is completely different and it contributes to flavor. ๐
generically speaking - when most people use the word "meat" -
it refers to any part of an animal which is consumed as food.
this can include: muscle, tendons, sinue, fat, any organ, skin, etc...
Yes Rob, we are on same page about meat category. ๐ Would that be all similar in flavor is my point? (Letโs say steamed dish no additional seasoning)๐
Koko...
the question is completely irrelevant!!!!!
ask any question not about the person. see how long it takes before they start talking about themselves. see if they ever ask about you - and see if they listen to your answer.
that tells me all i need to know about anyone. cause you can't have a real conversation, if it's all about them.
.
i did see a reply where someone asked what would you want to do if you could do anything.
i think that's a great question!
i wish 'i had more money than god'. i'd be a philanthropist!! i would spent my time running around, doing random acts of kindness!!!
i would love to stand in a long line at grocery checkout - and quietly tell the cashier - "hey i'm paying for everyone in line"!!
i'd love to go to restaurants and quietly, and anonymously pay the tab for others!!!
i'd love to just walk around a busy place, and secretly drop $100 bills in peoples pockets!!
i'd look for people in need... and payoff their house; buy them a car; give them an anonymous grant toward their education!!
i'd leave bills in places for people to find! remember how fun it is to find your own money in a pocket you forgot?? just imagine leaving $100's around for people to discover!!
oh i could go on and on with creative ways to find and help people deserving of a little unexpected joy!!!!
Great spin on what question you would ask. ๐ Hereโs my perspective, any question you ask will somehow relating to the person more or less because you wonโt be able to answer if you havenโt had any experience about it. For instance, you can ask: how is the weather? what do you think about that XYZ movies? They can answer back with an objective or subject POV. Hereโs the reality: as soon as something is perceived, we human start labeling, naming, interpreting them, likes, dislikes, all in objection of consciousness, in another word, ego. You will start forming your opinions from their answers no matter what questions you ask them. ๐ Now either they can be a great listener or great responder can come from social skills also. An introvert vs. extrovert. ๐
Yes, if you have extra to spare, tip them like a Rockefeller ๐คฃ๐๐
that's a great take on the subject. it's definitely a multifaceted question; and we are multidimensional people... so there are a lot of variables, and many ways to interpret... i definitely gave a more 'quick / knee jerk' answer...
i appreciate your perspective!! ๐๐๐
Thank you Rob๐๐โค๏ธ Koko likes thinking in Totality always. โ๏ธ๐
I think they can make it soft with meat tenderizer. I just started being pescatarian at the beginning of this year, slowly Iโll will be a Vegan.๐๐
Yes Gb2, it is healthy to eliminate red meat from your diet since itโs one of the cause for heart diseases. You can start slowly eliminating them and before you know it, you wonโt feel the crave for red meat.๐๐
What's for dinner?๐ค
i've tried many things eons ago before i went vegan; but tongue was not one i could swallow!!!!
agree! never looked appetizing when i ate meat....
DEF. doesn't look appetizing now!!! LOL
besides... isn't there something just wrong about masticating and moving around chunks of tongue in your mouth??? ๐ณ๐ณ๐ณ nahhh... thats very wrong..... heheh
Be open minded Rob, I tried lengua taco and it was fine! You try it once and you can ditch it if you donโt like ๐คทโโ๏ธ๐
Koko - you know i'm very open minded...
but not only is lengua taco not vegan... it's not even close to what i'd call "cheat worthy" enough to try it!!!
I did try lengua taco before and it was alright when they grilled it ๐
Look it up lengua taco ๐
That is completely different meaning.๐คฃ๐๐
Oh goshhhhh. Perfect example when people try too hard, they mess up. ๐คทโโ๏ธ Just relax and life is good ๐
Yes enjoy the peaceful moment you have currently and guess what one peaceful moment after another will make your โfutureโ right there. ๐
Mediation will help you achieve that. ๐๐
Meditation at any time Gb2. At the beginning I could only handle only for 10 mins, and I started building up. When you start feeling antsy just get up and stop. You canโt force meditation but come back when you are ready again. Before you know it, you can be still for hours. ๐
Letโs say while driving, you can practice mindfulness, just focus on the road and deep breathing. If you catch your thoughts, come right back to present wo analyzing it. ๐๐
Yes Gb2 time to do something different if we want real change. Try it and see if that works for you. โCourage is the love affair of the unknownโ ๐๐
Yes Daz the spirit๐ Remind yourself to drink plenty of water, stay away from processed food and try meditate even for 10 mins before bed. Just breath ๐๐
Yes ๐ meat, cheese, butter, sugar, sodas, chips. Throw them all out ๐๐
Go right ahead ๐๐
Have a good night n sweet dreams Gb2. Meditateโ๏ธ๐๐
INR - that puts you high on my list ! i'm not good at talking about me...
i like talking about just about everything else... so we'd make good conversational partners!
we wouldn't learn much about each other - but the conv's would be fun!!!
Sorry to interrupt. If someone asks me how I am I just say not so bad, thank you even though I might feel bloody awful. I will then ask about them, their family and so on
ham - you're never interrupting! always happy to have another join in!
i sooooooo hear you!! im the same way...
Shes a bada** buddha๐๐๐
Superstar๐โค
Yesssโ๏ธ. Without a doubt has brought a bright light to HU๐
Reminds me of that song "blinded by the light" ๐๐๐คฃ๐
Some just dont understand and feel like they have to put out the light๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ. They call themselves villagers with torches. Not a good look for ethos...
Okay truth seekers, let's put all villagers with torch behind. ๐ I'm waiting for your philosophy question to exercise my critical thinking ๐๐โค๏ธ
Let the celebrations continue ๐๐๐ฅ๐พ
