My daughter has just sent me some photos from her visit on Wednesday, very cheering in these unhappy times.

I was upset yesterday over job hunting and had been in angry tears after I found out someone else got offered a job and I felt it was unfair that I have to wait.

Last night myself and my friends had a good chat about this and had said how they have all gone through times when they have felt jealous as well like some of the girls admitted how they had cried when others were pregnant and they werent because it was what they wanted for themselves but had to have waited and had felt it wasn't fair either and said to me how its normal to feel jealous and angry when someone else gets something that you want for yourself and how we have all been through it.

A gent in my newspaper today, wrote about waiting for job offers (an actor), " book a non refundable holiday, then the offer will come through". Life is a pain sometimes.

Good idea!

Absolutely beautiful diana. Have you ever been? We went years ago with our dogs, it really is a lovely place and so peaceful. Thanks for sharing this. xx

in reply to springcross

The dogs sound very spoilt getting taken on lovely walks at a place like westonbirt!

It was full of dogs and the thing that we were so surprised about was that people stuck to the rules and kept all dogs on leads and all the dogs were so friendly to each other, no nastiness whatsoever, a lovely pleasant day and one still in the memory. x

Really glorious diana1998. The natural world certainly is very uplifting, and something that we all appreciate at the moment, when the general mood is not always at its best.🙏

I have had a nice walk round the neighbourhood and some of the little parks round and about this morning and felt loads better afterwards!

Yesterday I had been upset and crying over job hunting as I was cross over someone else getting offered a job whereas I haven't yet and had said to my friends how I had gone for a walk yesterday lunchtime and they had said well done for having got out and how they would have stayed in all day and cried if it was them and how its always a slap in the face when someone else gets something that you want for yourself and how we have all been there at some point.

Rest of the day here will be movies and games on the computer and listening to music finishing off the hits from 2007 that we started listening to yesterday evening.

So sorry you've had another disappointment with jobs catgirl1976. It's so hard on you and you usually manage to remain so upbeat, but it's perfectly OK to have a wobble now and again. Underlying your disappointments, you do manage to focus on all the things that really matter most in life, like love, companionship, the natural world, friends and relatives and life itself, no matter how hard parts of it are. Hang in there and I hope you'll have some success soon.🙏🙏

Talking of wildlife how's Kasar getting on?

Baby is well and enjoyed her chicken skin last night after we had roast chicken, roast veg and rice for dinner and my friends were very kind to me saying how it hurts when someone else gets something we wanted for ourselves and some of the girls said about before they had children how they had cried after they had found out others were pregnant and they weren't as they had wanted the same for themselves and had said to me it was understandable that I felt the way I did.

We did look at job vacancies online last night together to see if there was anything I was interested in which I have applied for and will see if they come to anything.

I visited Westonbirt a few years ago and like you found it magical. Now you've posted th picture makes me want to go again. It was a lovely day out and I remember buying some plants there. I believe they have evening tours when areas are all lit up.
