She looks as though she has, to kill for, eye lashes. Discovered in my childhood that I was severely allergic to camels, I wonder about llamas and alpacas. They always look as though they are about to ask a very important question.

Hi , You just jerked my memory back. Yes I'm allergic to Camel's 🐪 🐫🐫 but only because I fell off one when we were on holiday in Morocco. I ended up in hospital with dislocated fingers 🖖🤘🤙and an injured spine. .
The hospital was so Old Fashioned ,the Xray machine was out of the Ark .I was half expecting Florence Nightingale to walk in .and the Doctors were smoking cigarettes when they were examining you .Anyway. when we got back home, I had to go to our Local Hospital ,just to make sure that everything was alright . I told them what the hospital and Doctors were like in Morocco, and they said that they had made a real good job of putting my fingers back into place .But I will never ever go near a Camel again. I was never afraid of them before, but I am now.. Although the Hospital's in this Country are more up to date .The Doctors in Morocco are just as good,if not better than some of ours. 👍☺️.

Another thing that I am Allergic to Lynne is Wasps. A few years ago I had just washed the Kitchen floor. Then I went out into the back garden to bring some clothes in off the line. I kicked my slippers off just outside the back door, went back into the Kitchen.I put the washing on the table.Then the bell rang so I went back outside and put my slippers on EEEEEYEEE. There was a wasp in my slipper and I stepped on it.😓😢😥.
Just outside our back door we've got a tap. I put the tap on full blast and was holding my foot under it.The people that were at the door had come to deliver some gates. The one Man called Mike said "What have you done Glo".I was just answering him when another b....y wasp stung me, right at the top of my leg. I was wearing shorts. Oooh it didn't half hurt. The tears were swelling up in my eyes..The 2 men were just stood there laughing, but my whole leg was under the cold running water tap and I was crying. They said "Well come back tomorrow to fit the gates Glo". I just said, Hmmmm..Oh my leg was so swollen and painful. Well the following day I thought to .myself, Yeah right ,I'll get you back ". Well when the Men came to fit the gates, I said to Mike."Look Mike I'm not being funny ,but I don't want those gates. Look at them, they're not even,even. Theyre not what I'm looking for." They said, well they're the ones that you ordered. Oh it was so hard to keep a straight face. I said look at them, the bottom of them are.not even straight. I couldn't hold it in any longer. I just burst out laughing. We live on a hill and that was the reason why the bottom of the gates wasn't straight. Then the penny dropped..I won't tell you what they called me. They might have had a laugh about me dancing about because of the wasp stings. But I had the last laugh because I really wound them up. Goodnight Godbless Lynne . Love & Hugs Glo.xxxxxxx ❤ 💚 💕

You know what I'm like for falling etc. I was about 15 when my Dad took me to a local football match where one of my teachers was playing. Anyway the ball went down the muddy hill. I went to get it , I started back up the hill, slipped back down, this went on for 5 minutes or more , my Dad , me and the whole football team were crying laughing. You should have seen the state of me, covered in mud from head to toe😂😂My Mum's face was picture when we got back, she looked at my Dad who say it wasn't my bloody fault 🤣😂this teacher lives near us and still laughs about . Good job there were no mobile phones then otherwise I'd have been all over social media 😂🤣 xxxx

Hey Lynne, Ive been laying here thinking about the good old days. Years ago when I was a kid we used to go on street outings to Barry Island or Porthcawl. On the way there everyone would be singing that song Charracharracharra Bang ,bang bang amongst others. Then on the way home we'd always end up singing , For he's a Jolly Good Fullow. And so says all of us..Before we went home we'd always go to the Fairground. My Mum and me had just got to this ride that hadn't long stopped. So we got on it just before it started to move. A shade came over us and you could feel your stomach churning. Then the shade uncovered us, it was going fast and going up in the air. We didn't like it,I was crying ,I wanted to get off. My Mum was shouting to the Man in charge of the ride to stop it.But he took no notice. My Mum was holding me so tight, so that I wouldn't fall out. Then I was sick🤮🤢😰😭🥵😰 all over my Mums best dress👗. It was terrible Lynne .When the ride was finished the Man came around to collect the money for the ride. My Mum told him where to get off, in no uncertain terms. He moved away from her, because she would have knocked him out. She didn't swear at him. But she didn't have to really. Actions speak louder than words. I never ever heard my Mum or Dad swear. Not even when I was all grown up. I'll never forget that ride.No matter how long I live. If I was grown up and I wasn't with my Mum. I don't think that I would have been able to hold my tongue. 👅. Not like my Mum did. 😘

Aww, bless her. No wonder she was angry with him!! I hate roller coasters or anything similar!! My Mum loved them , my brother was half and half and Dad hated them. My Mum was my Mum, sister and friend all rolled into one and I know I'm lucky to have had that relationship with my Mum. I had a good relationship with my Dad too . I love and miss them both so much , I will never get over losing them but I have learnt to live with it.No-one can take away all my happy memories of years gone by. Sorry, I went off on a tangent again!! All my love Lynne xxxx 😘♥️

Hi Lynne, I'm having trouble with some of my messages coming through. Do you remember me telling you about Zoe. Well she's been trying to get in touch. But I'm not getting anything off her except for. "Hi Glo". and that's it. I didn't much like the High Rides..But I have been on the Big wheel down Barry Island. ( But only once ).John won't even go on the Log Flume and that doesn't go very high. Our Son's will go on anything,they're not afraid of height or speed. When we were on holiday in Rhodes, we went on a boat trip to where they made the film The Guns of Navarone .The water was too choppy, so we couldn't get in near enough to go on the rocks because of the boat being damaged. A couple of days later we went on another Boat trip , the water was much calmer and everyone was allowed to dive off the boat into the sea .Our Boys climbed up as high as they were allowed on the boat, Then they dived in one after the other. My Heart was in my mouth. I can't swim, so that made matters worse for me. They are all good strong swimmers .Our one Son has webbed toes. He's the strongest swimmer. He must follow my Dad because my Dad had webbed feet and Boy oh Boy, he was a brilliant swimmer. Then there's me. If the water goes past my chin I Panic. Don't forget Lynne , I know it won't be for a while. But when you visit your Friends in Cardiff, you can stop off at our house, you and Dave will be more than welcome. I was born in Nigeria, (my father was an engineer in the old Colonial Service) spent a large chunk of my childhood in the north of that country, where the desert and camel trains met the more green areas. As far as I was concerned, if you got too near a camel, they spat at you, so never got too close. The local village gentlemen wove lovely camel hair rugs (sitting down, using their feet to work the shuttles). Mother brought a few back to England, to act as draught excluders, hung behind the doors in our little cottage. I had the worst asthmatic attack ever, when staying over that Christmas, Mother had to get rid of the lot, as that was my problem. She never quite forgave me!!

Sometimes when life gets me down, I remind myself, that although I became ill in my mid 30's and life contracted a lot, that I have memories that a lot of people were never lucky enough to have. The first half of my life was very varied. I also spent time in the South Pacific, although my one and only cyclone, is something I do not enjoy remembering.
