Sorry, can't remember the name of the place, it was a day out where I had never visited before. All I remember is that the name began with 'M'

That is a nice picture - did it come out of the camera like that - or did you do some work on the sky? or use a filter?

What pixel dimensions and file size did you use for upload?

Dallo100 profile image
Dallo100 in reply toS11m

Nikon D180 SLR. The photograph came straight out of the camera, not sure whether it needed light and colour adjustments, but if I did adjust it wasn't much

Just found the place on the map. It's Dale Beach at Milford Haven

That's one of my most memorable places in Pembrokeshire. We went there on a day trip in the mid 80s and I have never forgotten it. Such clear water, almost tropical as you could see right down through it, it was gorgeous and the dogs absolutely loved swimming there too. I remember a sailing club just up the road (unless I'm getting confused with another place). If you looked across the water you could see Milford Haven. Lovely times in lovely places.

On two different sites. Tbh I am quite surprised there are not many photographs of Dale Beach, it's quite an interesting location with a lot of watersports

Dear Dallo100,

I hope you don't mind but I have Copied your image.... it brings back such lovely Memories!

I spent a couple of weeks there, as part of a Foursome, not long after I became ill. We were at Porthgain (I don't think that's, at all right😏). So, your lovely Picture, is a great Reminder and I hope that you don't mind Dallo100.

I will Resize it to A4, assuming there is enough 'Definition', and then Print it.

Once again, thank you.

Do you know the name of the location on my photograph, much appreciated if you know, as I've been roving the internet to find out. I don't record my photos in detail I just upload them on my external hard-drive (organised chaos)

Pembrokeshire is a beautiful area. We have had some lovely holidays there but I don't recognise that place, at least not from that angle. x

Yes looking at someone else's comments about the sky, I didn't notice first time but looking at it again it's a beautiful yet ominous sky. Beautiful shot.

The photo is lovely, especially those billowing clouds! Had some great holidays near the Pembrokeshire coast in my teens. Can't wait to get out of town to the coast this weekend, to North Norfolk.

I worked on a farm in Castle Martin many years ago. I remember on my days off going for long walks, the countryside and coastline was beautiful. Great memories.
