It looks like HMS Prince of Wales. xx
What a wonderful sight.
That is a fab picture.
Have a photo somewhere of them one behind the other alongside in Portsmouth. They are huge x
Lovely I wish that was my neighbor !! Looks lovely there . All the best
We’re very lucky x
Oh wow Hylda, you lucky lady, what a gorgeous view!
Absolutely brilliant 👌
Lovely photo what a view 😁
Such a magnificent, regal neighbor!
Amazing sight. It reminds me of when I lived on the hill above Tilbury and could see the cruise ships in the dock. They were a lovely sight when they weere lit up at night. The rest of the view wasn't as picturesque as yours though!
We see a lot of cruise ship movement at the moment. They appear to be going up to Southampton for a night or two then going down to Weymouth or Poole or just for a potter in the Channel. I suppose it’s very expensive to stay alongside plugged in to shore facilities.
Amazing view lovely picture x
And what a neighbour Hylda! Lucky to have this view of her, so close by! Was she on her way into Portsmouth or heading out to sea?
The News says she left to do some sea trials but came back because there was cv on board. Navy not commenting. She dressed overall today.
What a lovely view , saw her in Portsmouth two & half years ago.
She really is a big lady... . 😊
Jo.
HMS Queen Elizabeth is known as "Big Lizzie", I haven't heard of a nickname for HMS Prince of Wales. Pity there are no aircraft embarked yet though the trials with the F35s were all successful. Even the vertical landing-on where the jet efflux is directed onto the deck like a giant blowtorch. The deck and the coating all survived unscathed.

That's some view
We lived 700 yds up the road for 34 years and we always said we’d have a flat if and when one came up here. Bought off plan so we have just what we want.
