Anyone working on their Doctorate is smart enough to have several copies of their thesis plus have it saved to their hard drive. And the person filming the event just stood there and did not offer help ? I say they are all mediocre actors.

In her defence, that might be the latest copy on the drive (It was not her who added the annotation of the video). It's often easier to analyse in hindsight as an outsider. We are meant to do regular backups but sometimes it's not always practical (bound to have gaps).
re filming: Nobody was filming it, it was a CCTV footage (outside a block of flats).
