That had me confused! Not in the UK - it was 4th March. Film wise, it has to be Amélie for the sheer joy.

Amy Pollard is also from Saturday Night Live and joined the "30 Rock" show when it came out. Both are good! :-)

Goodnight sweetheart is a timetravelling show in the 90s starling nicholas lyndhurst who finds a time portal in the back of his shop that leads him to the 40s & in series 1 & 2 it starred dervla kirwan as a 40s barmaid

Somewhere in time is a time travel fantasy adventure starring the late great christopher reeve & jayne seymour - christ plays a playwright who meets an older version of a woman whose picture he saw in a museum but in her younger days & travels back in time & meets the younger her

That sounds interesting. What did Beck do in "The Core"? I never heard of the show. :-)

Opportunity profile image
Opportunity in reply toActivity2004

🤣It’s a movie with Aaron Eckhart, and Hilary Swank. They are charged with fixing the core of the earth that has stopped spinning. It’s a sci-fi type of movie. She is a highly valued part of the team and it’s not an issue that she’s female. I like that.

Vera, from the TV cop show of the same name, very much a Northern England show. She is based on a character from the books by Ann Cleeves, she is over 40, maybe over 50. Wears an old mac and elderly hat (from thrift shops).Drives an old fashioned Land Rover. I hate females in shows, who scream, faint engagingly in a man's arm, I did used to love Cagney and Lacey.

chrisj profile image

Blethyn bought the hat herself, she thought it was fitting for her character. A favourite show of mine as well 🙂

The larger than life character Lucy Ricardo in “I love Lucy”, played by Lucille Ball. She was a dizzy redhead who was always getting into scrapes, much to the horror of her husband Desi played by Desi Arnaz (who was her real life husband) and her neighbours Ethel and Fred played by Vivian Vance and William Frawley. At the time it was a very funny sitcom which I loved to watch every week with my parents.

Sorry for any confusion. 'Lady Chatterley' was a 1993 BBC television serial starring Sean Bean and Joely Richardson. It is an adaptation of D. H. Lawrence's 1928 novel Lady Chatterley's Lover, first broadcast on BBC1 in four 55-minute episodes between 6 and 27 June 1993

It is hard to pick one as there are many of them out their. So I will just mention 1 or 2 perhaps 3 as my list would just go on and on.

I like Nicole Kidmen as she is such a good actress I love the films she has been in Stepford Housewives, Moulin Rouge (made me cry at the end). Including the short t.v series mini series to ( Big Little Lies, Undoing)

I like Melissa McCarthy in comedy films she always makes me laugh, (Bridesmaids, Ghostbusters,The Heat). I also like her in Mike and Molly.

I love Julie Walters she is such a good actress I loved her in Harry Potter, Mamma Mia 1 & 2 and many other films. She looks right down to earth.

I also liked the women cast in the updated version of Ghostbusters, women power.

Activity2004 profile image
Activity2004 in reply toLotus-Blossom

Mike and Molly was my favorite show, too. I liked the way they found each other and showed how everyone can always set out to do a goal and then achieve it!😀👍🌈

Leonard Hofstadter in the Big Bang Theory. He's cute, naive, struggles socially. I like the way he is so understanding towards the narcissistic and frustrating Sheldon Cooper.

Activity2004 profile image
Activity2004 in reply tochrisj

Leonard was one of my favorite male actors, too from the show. Penny was my favorite female actress. She was understanding and taught the guys how to fit in with everyone else. Very patient.😀👍🌈

Kainan profile image
Kainan in reply toActivity2004

Amy is my fav from the show. She's funny, insightful, and cares deeply for the group. And she turned Sheldon around from being critical and egoistical to slightly less so hahahaha

Activity2004 profile image
Activity2004 in reply toKainan

That's right. Amy did help Sheldon learn how to be a little more less critical of others. I remember her also being on the show "Blossom" years ago. :-)

Lotus-Blossom profile image
Lotus-Blossom in reply toKainan

Not only did Amy did that but she also helped him to understand human emotions as she brought out the best in him (along with his friends). Amy was the best thing that ever happened to him as she is a strong women who pulls him up at times.

Lotus-Blossom profile image
Lotus-Blossom in reply tochrisj

I like the cast in the big bang theory only thing Leonard is a male and in this survey they are asking for women. Their are lots of good women actress's not just men.

I wouldn't exactly say Scarlett's my fav of all time, but definitely the best out of the choices available.. I can quote nearly all of her lines from movie. 💨
