I play solitaire at the minute as live alone, but my favourite game is rummy.

Which type of Solitaire game do you play? Is it on the computer/phone or do you use a deck of playing cards for the table? :-)👍🌈🃏

I haven't played cards for many years, but used to enjoy both bridge and patience.

Hi Brent,

How do you play Patience and how many cards does everyone get to use? :-)

👍🌈🃏

Patience is one of the few card games one can play alone, Leah. There are many variations, however, of which Solitaire is one. I used to play when living alone during my early years in the Caribbean.

Solitaire - mainly Free Cell. I’ve not heard of the others listed apart from Rummy.

I play Free Cell on my laptop at home. It’s easier that way. I play the games at level of Expert.

Hand and foot

Activity2004 in reply to

How do you play Hand and Foot? I never played it growing up. :-) Is it able to be played with more than 2 people? :-)

in reply toActivity2004

It's a game to show people how explain it. There's alot to say. 2 or more people. Can have alot of cards in your hands if you're unlucky. Red three's are minus 300 points. Not good.

Activity2004 in reply to

Thank you for letting me know. How many cards does each person start with in the beginning of the game? 😀👍🌈🃏

in reply toActivity2004

We play with 5 decks for four people. Everybody picks up 22 cards then count out 11 for themselves tgen hands the cards facedown to person on the left. Then receive 11 cards from person on the right. You only pick up 11 cards to play and leave other deck face down for second hand. So 11 cards in hand and 11 facing down. This games starts out at 50 points you need to make. 2nd round 90. 3rd round 120. 4th round 150. Pretty hard game when you get up to the 150 point hand.

That's fantastic! My mom and I play 500 Rummy, Uno, Skip-Bo and a few others with and without my Grandma and Aunt. We also play other card games with my Nephew and Niece each day during the week when they're here. 😀👍🌈🃏

That's great that you play cards with your family, a good way to get together 👍🌈😊

Besides rummy, and uno I used to play spoons and I play solitaire most of the time now. Rummy was the game I played as a kid all the time but when I got married I played it with him and he quite because I always won.

Hello Activity2004

my wife will not play board or card games with me because she says I always win. I play Solitaire on my computer, that is where I do my heavy thinking. I play board/card games with kids and grandkids. They know I am always up for a game. :)

Play patience occasionally. Used to play Rummy or Whist with my family when I was a child. No one seems to play games any more. Everything’s online!

Solitaire on the computer, and as a child a maths game with special cards called Summit. True playing cards were not allowed in the house, of either my Mother or Grandparents, their type of Protestantism believed them to be tools of the devil.

Hearts when there are folks to play with. I bet there's a free online game, I hadn't thought about looking for one!

I love to play Cribbage, used to play in a cribbage league until I moved 22 years ago. Like 7's, 9 or 6 card brag, Canasta, Trumps. Shame really as living on my own don't get to play them, not unless I play them on the computer.
