What do you bring to eat/drink on a picnic? Multiple choice.
wholemeal breadsandwiches and fresh fruit such as apple chunks and grapes. Apple juice to drink
That sounds great! I love eating apples and grapes when I can get them.😀👍🌈
we havent been out with a picnic since COVID but we used to pick up a meal deal from Tesco which included sandwiches, a little bag of chopped apple and grapes plus a drink for £3 each.
I could only eat watermelon and drink lemonade due to allergies. I would maybe take a ham or beef sandwich.
Other for me Leah, homemade spelt sourdough with vegan cheese and vegan mayo 😋😋.
Excellent poll👍
Sounds really yummy! 😀👍🌈
Thank you for saying that about the poll. I have a lot of ideas for the next few weeks coming up.😀👍🌈
I love it.
You're welcome. Ooh, I'm looking forward to seeing the polls.🌈👍😊🙏
Chipolatas, and crisps.
sausage rolls, cheese & bacon quiche and Irn Bru - I'm a Scot.
Let me know when you are having your next picnic, sounds good.
Aah - when lockdown is over - your favourite picnic place or mine??
Chicken, cranberry, walnut salad s mall crisp rolls, bottle of wine, fresh fruit
Usually sandwiches, crisps and fruit . Mine are spontaneous so whatever we have lying around then get coffee at a cafe as we usually have a long walk when we have food
Egg & tomato + cheese & onion sandwiches, small sausage rolls, sparkling mineral water.
Hmm good question whatever my mom makes rye chips 😋😍 some soda 😄 depends 😄
Is anyone even allowed to have picnics yet? How about some, not so healthy like, hot dogs and hamburgers? Grand kids like to roast hot dogs.
Fruit. And I’ve got a thing about egg sandwiches—- only ever eat them on a picnic or as a snack when travelling long distance.
That’s great to hear! I have egg salad at home and like fried cornflake chicken on picnics along with salads.😀👍🌈
Chicken wrap. Ginger Beer. Popcorn.
I like to bring pasta salad, chips, and sandwiches. Cookies, also soda. Watermelon and strawberries.
Beer.
I’m old school! I’d take ham sandwiches, small pork pie cut into quarters, cheese, tomatoes, yoghurts and a bottle of wine or some cold beers! 😋
Smoked salmon sandwiches with fresh lemon on the side, lashings of Earl Grey tea (has to be freshly made so a water heater is necessary!) cake and chocolate - oh, and some biscuits ... and some Vintage Cheddar cheese.

Old fashioned fried chicken , southern mustard potato salad, coleslaw, home jarred sweet pickles, marinated scallions and company apple pie. Gosh , I wish I was young so I could eat that stuff again. 💤💤
P.s. I forgot the sweet iced tea.
Do you use cornflakes for the chicken? 😀👍🌈
I use good old white processed flour. Buttermilk instead of milk. Can’t scrimp on the cholesterol! 😁❤️🏄♀️
Ham and cheese batches, sausage rolls, cake and a flask of tea.
Dear Activity2004,
I would take Sandwiches made with Wholemeal, or Granary, Bread- containing Meat, Cheese... maybe egg mayonnaise, maybe. I might take wraps, either made myself or bought, I ' found' a lovely Hoisin Duck one once. Drink wise? well anything really, usually 'Cold', unless it's a Cold day- or it's an Inside Picnic. (I remember 'arguing', with someone, that it 'Can't Be A Picnic If It's In Doors). If I'm at the Coast then it might be Sea Food based, especially if there is a 'Tubby Issacs' (or similar) close by.
I have eaten Avocado dishes, a few times, but not really by Choice.... someone else's picnic and I'm Never 'Rude', if someone has made the Effort. (Honey & Marmite Glazed, 'Pigs Trotters'.... a family favourite😝😝😬🤢🤮......'Thank you, So kind!)
I'm almost 'tempted', to ask, What's a Picnic.... rather like What's a Cinema, Theatre, Pub, Café.....😢😭😭😭.

The sweetcorn loaf is made with
1 red onion, finely chopped
1x7oz (200g) tinned corn. Drained

I use the Sharp blade on the processor to grind the cashews then add the sweet corn for a quick grind, add the chopped onion, the grated carrot 🥕, Chopped Apple 🍏, and mix all in processor. Then I transfer all to a big baking bowl and add the breadcrumbs, oats, stirring it altogether. And add the beaten eggs, chopped herbs. And bouillon powder ( I use a knorr chicken stock cube mixed in a little water) . Blend all well together and put into an oven proof bowl lined with baking paper.) the mixture should be quite moist
I use a lined 2 lb loaf tin. ) bake for 40 mins.
I use fresh herbs, so add more than the recipe says.

Cheese salad sandwiches, maybe a hard boiled egg, don't like taking meat if the weather is very hot. Crisps, fruit cake maybe lemon cake, apple or orange, banana, carrot sticks, flask tea or coffee and maybe a small bottle water.
Salad and cheese rolls with a bottle of water does me.
What type of cheese do you use for the rolls?
My own food should I be lucky enough to get out for a picnic 😁😁
Healthy sandwiches
Homemade scotch eggs my absolute favourite. 😋😋
Cheeeseo or Ham filled rolls, crisps & white wine.
Dark chocolate or regular for the cake?
Thank you for saying this about the poll. I appreciate it very much.
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
Soup and sandwiches with salad and fresh juice sounds like a wonderful idea for a picnic.
Don't get to go on picnics
Tea!
Depends on what I'm craving for the day but for the most part its burgers on a gluten free bread and fries. I dont normally eat this so I treat myself during picnics.
