Did your HV / Doc speak to you about PNI in the visits following the birth or did it go unmentioned?

My HV was brilliant...in fact, much more understanding and empathetic than my gp and without her help, I wouldn't have recieved the care i so desperately needed x

It wasn't brought up at all. I would have thought they would keep an eye me, given that my Mum is Bi-polar and I expressed many times throughout my pregnancy that I didn't have a big support network and needed to talk.

HV only came twice and never brought it up either.

My HV also didn't mention it (actually I had three separate HVs on three separate occasions so it wasn't exactly a close bond that formed!). And my GP is a bit of a lottery as there are 8 GPs and only one I really connect with, so for ages none of the doctors picked it up. It was only when I finally got an appointment with 'my' GP (6 months post partum) that she picked it up immediately. Amazing what a difference it makes when people take the time to listen.
