Hi Julie. I had a pancreatic tumour in the head and ampulla of vater show up as an incidental finding on an abdo ultrasound ( I was referred for ultrasound not for anything pancreas related) but any findings like this needs lots of further tests. I had scans, bloods endoscopy and biopsies I subsequently had a Whipple op and 9 months post the op developed pancreatitis. Normal tests for this for me were bloods ( amylase levels are normally raised) and CT. Ive never had an ultrasound for anything pancreas related.

Hi skip, have you done any bloodtest or rumor marker before diagnosed with the tumour? For example like CA 19-9 which can help us to know whether we have problem with pancreas?

Hi all the tests came after they found the mass on an ultrasound scan. I was referred for the scan for something completely unrelated t the pancreas. I had some issues with pain on eating previous to the finding but nothing that caused any alarm! Blood tests will however show if tumour markers are raised or other issues prior to any scans

Currently., i m facing severe diarrhea with dark greennish yellow color and sometimes with hard lighter color stools. Then i noticed the stools is floating before sinking a few minutes later.

i also passing lot of gass and bloating..my ankles also swollen with back pain.

I’ve visit my gp, do some ultrasound, endoscopy and colonoscopy and he said nothing was wrong with me..

I’ve done blood test and tumour marker CA 19-9.. my reading level was 20.4 u/ml. Its still in normal ranges but i think its little high for normal person and bilirubin level is 18 umol/l which quite high.

I barely sleep and having anxiety cuz i dont know what is happening with me..

Hi skip they found a 8mm T2 hyperintense on my pancreas body/head. It said nonspecific. I am worried sick. They said do another mRI in 6 months with and without contrast. I went for back pain not pancreas. Was wondering did you have to go right away was your benign? Worried
