Hello from the USA! If you are referring to Oral Lichen Planus- yes, I was diagnosed by biopsy about 20 years ago. It presented with white/red raw patches on the inside of my cheeks and gums that were very sore. The oral surgeon that I saw had to send the cheek biopsy away for diagnosis. I was then ordered a steroid ointment that I applied to the areas. It’s been so long ago that I can’t remember how often I applied. I was fortunate that once it calmed down, I have never had an exacerbation. If I did it was so mild that I did not have to treat it. I say that because I occasionally notice a few white/red areas but they don’t hurt and eventually disappear.
My sister has this and its been going on for over 2 years … supposedly it’s autoimmune issue …. She has a special mouth wash.
Diagnosed by biopsy 2019. Prescription drugs didn't help at all. I use gengigel first aid gel for gums on the sore area which is my top gum red and white patches. Occasionally use lidocaine gel to numb the area if I have a bad flare. The first aid gengigel is amazing it's hyaluronic acid natural and healing and can be used for any inflammation soreness within the mouth.Best place to buy is Dent o Care UK . I buy several bottles at a time as they give a multi buy discount.
Gengigel First Aid 50ml they also sell the mouthwash 150ml but it costs more so I use the gel on a q tip on the sore areas. Oral lichlen plantus causes a burning stinging sore sensation and during a flare it can be really distressing. I find the gel eases the pain straight away. I have never been told OLP is due to anemia so I can't comment on that. It just started as a sore area on my top gum that would not go away and got worse as time went on. It never completely goes away I just ease the discomfort with the gengigel. I have tried several prescription medications none helped. I was under eastmans dental hospital London but to be honest after the biopsy and diagnosis they offered very little help so I researched natural remedies and started using the gengigel first aid gel. I hope thus helps any fellow sufferers. The first aid gel is alcohol free.
