Hi, as we are not doctors I don't think anybody could advise you on this other than your GP - unless somebody here has had that surgery and could share their experience. Good luck
I was referred to the women's clinic, determined I had an overactive bladder and retention, given Betmiga to calm it and it worked for a little while.
Was referred to physio for pelvic floor exercises and managed slightly to improve the tone prior to having a hysterectomy, the incontinence is worse since that and now bending only I can get a leakage even if I don't need to go. They did recommend the cones for me but I never did get round to purchasing them. When I had my hysterectomy I was 1 in 4, the other three ladies in my ward were having bowel repairs. Seek the advice of a gynae they will almost certainly approve pelvic floor exercises before they consider surgery as you have to get them strong first and you have to do it far more than you think, I was recommended short and long ones every hour for 5 minutes every day.
Best Wishes
