At the moment I am in remission following pamidronate infusions 3 years ago. I do have pain on a daily basis, but my mobility is unaffected. So, I am lucky at present that it does not affect my quality of life!

I am in remission from a Reclast infusion 6 months ago. I have more side effects of pain than Paget's was causing. It is not daily and it does not limit me.

I was first diagnosed with Pagets 18 years ago and at the time I was a part-time lecturer and the pain at that time was very severe . A slipped disc was at first suspected and I was sent for an xray. Walking to the xray dept was in itself difficult and painful. I was given APD intravenous treatmen - putting the pagets into remission. I was able to carry on with my work and did so until retirement ... night-time has always been the worse .. I am due for treatment in the next couple of weeks having had a flare-up. I now have quite a few arthritis problems but have always tried to be positive.
