I am in a similar position Panther 17. My oncologist says that as long as the dentist does a blood test 24 before invasive treatment and levels show over the minimum levels..it’s fine x

Dear Panther17,

Thank you very much for your post. As Lyndy suggested, we would encourage you to speak to your cancer doctor if you need to have dental treatment if you haven’t done so already. This is so that they can give you appropriate advice. It is also important to let your dentist know that you are having treatment for cancer and what treatment you are on.

Please do let us know if we can help with any further information. Our contact number is 0800 008 7054 or you can email support@ovacome.org.uk.

Best wishes,

Cathryn

My oncologist , from the very start told me to go to the dentist regularly for checkups and clean ings . I did have to have a crown replaced and I premed with antibiotics before I go and after .My dentist is very careful and does the cleanings etc. herself . I go next Wednesday for a cleaning and checkup , Good luck with your appointment.
