Provlem related to ovarian cyst...

My mother ultrasound has detected an ovarian cyst .....my mother age is 48 yrs....

Size of cyst left34*27mm and right 42*40 mm

I want to know is it harmful or what should we have to do ..is the sign of cancer or something else .plz tell me

Only your Mums Doctor can give her these answers Mayank7. She should ask for a CA125 blood test if she has not had one...a raised level would suggest further investigation to eliminate cancer is needed. Best of luck to you and your Mum xx

There’s no way of confirming until the cyst is sent to the lab. Guessing is easy

I was told a simple cyst and not cancer, age 46, size of cyst by the time I had surgery had increased to 5x7cm

Histology positivity for cancer. So quite a shock

My mom had an ovarian cyst the size of a football removed when she was 44 years old and lived well into her eighties.

This stuff is scary and we always fear the worst but sometimes it is good news as well.
