I was diagnosed in April 2020 with Esophageal cancer. I had chemo/radiation for 6 weeks, 4 weeks recuperation then an esophagectomy. The operation ran into some surprises but my surgeon did many many of these operations and was able to switch up mid operation and complete it. My recuperation was a text book of great. I stayed in the hospital 8 days and never had to use my feed tube. I was eating solids by the time I went home. I turned 60 in June and I know how extremely lucky I am. I can eat anything I ate before. I have dumping spells but there is no pattern . These are a small price to pay for being alive and eating what I want.
