Can someone help me?

I was diagnosed with GERD but I haven’t had any symptoms except difficulty swallowing and forgetting how to swallow. Also my throat has been like this ever since I finished my medication. It started when I choked on a piece of food. I can feel my uvula touching the back of my throat and causes gagging. I can only eat liquids and when I eat solids I can only eat a little then I’ll feel the sensation of not being able to swallow. Dr said it could also be my anxiety/fear of choking again.

Sorry to hear you are struggling. Not being able to swallow is so distressing. I have had periods of being in the same position and it is so stressful. I lost weight particularly badly in my mid twenties when i was caring for my dying mum.

I was diagnosed with anxiety and it eventually eased. Throughout the years I have found that anxiety exacerbates it but acid reflux has been a definite trigger too and i have always had reflux from my teenage years.

Keep seeking help from medics and if one cant help then see another until you gets some assistance. Best wishes.
